Since engaging with Tiffani, she now discusses her readings with confidence, and I've gained valuable insights on how to support her in his learning journey."

FAQs
-
I am a certified Reading Specialist. I am trained in various intervention approaches including Reading Recovery, Amplify, and HB3 Reading Academy. These are research and evidence-based instruction/interventions that support all readers. I also use Orton Gillingham, a multi sensory approach that integrates reading, writing, and spelling designed to support children and adults with dyslexia.
-
Oftentimes, the referral process in schools can be lengthy and daunting. I offer informal reading evaluations that will target core areas of reading. The data will guide instruction/intervention plan.
-
Non-diagnostic evaluations are administered to identify the skills your child has and skills that require intervention related to phonological and phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, spelling, and written expression. This evaluation also helps us understand your child’s personality, temperament, and feelings regarding reading and writing; it is the foundation for where we will begin intervention.
*Diagnostic testing to identify neuropsychological disorders or to determine special education eligibility will be offered in the future.

I provide evaluations that will illustrate needs and identify where teaching/re-teaching needs to begin. Hourly fees are comparable to other professional services, such as speech therapy or counseling. Session prices range from $90-$130 depending on length.

I offer online (virtual), interactive sessions if you do not live in the San Antonio area. It is quite simple and the only items you need are a laptop, headphones, and internet connection.
Families love this option for vacations and busy school schedule. Contact me for more details regarding virtual sessions.

Insurance companies do not recognize educational therapy as a medical need. Some families use HSA or FSA if their prescribing physician states there is a need for therapy.
